This Land Is My Land
Guthrie thinks that the entire country was made for everyone in America. This is shown where he says "From California to the New York island; From the red wood forest to the Gulf Stream waters. This land was made for you and me." It also shows that America is a great place to be through words like "sparkling", "diamonds", and "gold". Towards the end the words and phrases start to change and he starts to speak of "hungry children" and "no trespassing" showing how America is going through a tough time but that there's still hope that things will go back to normal.
