Soma

In Aldous Huxley's A Brave New World, Soma is a manipulative drug that stops you from truly being you because your identity and individuality is taken away. This is also the theme of the song Soma by The Strokes, that Soma takes away self identity. This is shown in when it says "losing against their dreams" meaning that what they actually want is something they can't have and they are just getting father and farther away.  It also says "Tried it once and they like it, then tried to hide it" showing their conformity and how the soma takes away their individuality.

Sentence 1 and 2- Connects the song to book/ topic sentence
Sentence 3- Evidence and explanation
